A Design Project on gaming in learning

For our studies on the role of manual gestures in speech and language acquisition, we collaborated with a student from the Pôle supérieur de Design of Villefontaine (France), Maxime Barnier. The aim was to work on game and interaction scenari adapted to children in order to be able to involve children with disabilities, such as children with Down Syndrome, in research studies on the one hand, and to explore new tools to help such children in learning to communicate on the other hand. The drawings and gestures used in this project were conceived in collaboration with Estelle Gillet-Perret, speech pathologist at Grenoble Hospital.
